Last week, IMEC – Ghent University participated at the 10th ACM International Conference on Systems for Energy-Efficient Buildings, Cities, and Transportation (BuildSys 2023), which took place on November 15th and 16th in Istambul, Turkey. The conference hosted a highly selective, single-track forum for research on systems issues covering all aspects of the built environment.
IMEC had the opportunity to present their work at two workshops : 3rd ACM International Workshop on Big Data and Machine Learning for Smart Buildings and Cities (BALANCES’23) and 4th ACM SIGEnergy Workshop on Reinforcement Learning for Energy Management in Buildings & Cities (RLEM’23). They presented two scientific papers, including the BIGG paper “Real-world implementation of reinforcement learning based energy coordination for a cluster of households”.
Both papers have been published online :
- “Real-world implementation of reinforcement learning based energy coordination for a cluster of households” (https://dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/3600100.3625681)
- “Transfer learning in transformer-based demand forecasting for home energy management system” (https://dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/3600100.3626635)
