This is the last video of the series presenting the business cases of the BIGG project. Specially, this video introduces the Business Case 6 “Electricity and Gas demand-response”, which focus on electricity and gas demand-response in residential and commercial buildings. It aims to leverage the flexibility potential of buildings to optimize electricity and natural gas consumption and its divided in 2 use cases:
- Use Case 14 “Flexibility potential of Residential consumers on Electricity”, which focuses on electricity consumers that participate in implicit demand response schemes.
- Use Case 15 “Flexibility potential of Residential consumers on Natural Gas”. This use case focuses on end consumers using natural gas boilers for space heating and participating in explicit demand response schemes to: (a) improve the energy efficiency through load reduction and (b) contribute to real-time gas balancing services.
